Silva’s “Progressive Portuguese” cuisine has been praised for its bold flavours and creative presentations. The menus feature such delights as ocean fresh filet of wild Atlantic salmon crusted with peppercorns, fresh herbs and marine salt served with tender organic, hand picked seasonal vegetables. The bounty of fish is flown in from the Azores island daily. The seared and roasted beef tenderloin seasoned with black peppercorns and served on saffron roasted potatoes topped off with an old tawny Port wine sauce is a testament that the kitchen also knows meat, the lean, flavourful cut roasted exactly as ordered.

An absolute must are Silva’s exquisitely artful and decadent dessert creations including the sinfully dark chocolate rum cake paired with cinnamon creme anglais caramelized bananas. The dried fruit and nut tart in a caramel cream nestled on a delicate lintier shell and drizzled with a chocolate caramel sauce is both a delight to the eye and the palate.
